Ponte is one of my favourite fabrics for winter: warm and snuggly, yet structured enough to give you a bit of shape. Here are my top 5 patterns to sew with ponte:
1. If you want to snuggle on the sofa:
The Nora Top by Tilly and the Buttons
The boxy fit and dropped sleeves of this pattern make it a really comfortable to wear and easy to make garment. In ponte, it’s more like a jumper than a top, great to throw on with jeans or wear on the couch with pyjama pants.
2. If you want something comfy for the weekend:
The Heather Dress by Sew Over it
While it’s the pockets that make this on truly special, the panelled bodice makes for a really flattering fit. Ponte keeps it nice and cozy.
3. If you want something a little bit fancy:

In ponte, this wrap dress is a sophisticated, feels comfy but looks stunning outfit. The full circle skirt option is the best option in this fabric, and gives you extra swish too.
4. If you want something for work:
The Morris Blazer by Grainline Studio
Ponte gives the lapels of this blazer a structured look, while the stretchiness of the fabric makes fitting a breeze. Perfect with a simple jersey top and some black work trousers.
5. If you want a bit of French chic (while still staying comfortable)

Designed for knitted fabrics with good body, this jumper comes with two unique options for pleated sleeves. The loose fit and dropped shoulders deep it cozy while small details give it a little je ne sais quois.
