Cotton – Swiss Embroidery Sample

A lovely lightweight textured cotton, printed with a pattern of small flowers. Slightly transparent due to the holes of the embroidered flowers, this fabric is similar in weight to a cotton lawn.

Why choose this fabric?

Similar to a broderie anglaise, this fabric is all about texture. Crisp and white, it would be lovely for shirts and shirt dresses. This fabric presses and washes extremely well, and is quite sturdy while still being light. You may want to line this with a simple white cotton lawn, however the holes caused by the embroidered flowers are small enough that you don’t have to.
